The 13th Station

A life-size sculpture carved out of white marble stone by Zambian artist Nsofwa Bowa. This art piece was inspired by the famous La Pieta sculpture by one of the greatest artists to have ever lived, Michelangelo. In Catholic faith and tradition, this image depicts the moment when the body of Jesus was taken down from the cross and given to his mother Mary (cf. 13th Station of the Way of the Cross)

40 Days and 40 Nights

A Journey with Christ through Art

The 200-meter mural was inspired by the solemn Catholic Christian observance called Lent, which commemorates the 40 days preceding Easter. Lent is a period of preparation to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our whole life on earth is a period of preparation for the greater glory to come and can be likened to the 40 days and 40 nights.
